Nine CNB Employees Receive Promotions
William T. Johnson, Jr., President & CEO of Citizens National Bank, recently announced promotions and title changes for nine CNB employees: Kathy Leombruno, Senior Vice President/Marketing Officer; John Spencer, Vice President/Commercial Loan Officer; Nathaniel Bonnell, Vice President/Chief Financial Officer; Carla Hess, Credit Analyst; Pamela Morgan, Assistant Branch Manager/Snowshoe Office; Debbie Ritter, Assistant Branch Manager/Parsons Office; William Phillips, Loan Operations Manager; Patricia Davis, Office Services & Facilities Manager; and Sherrie Holler, Retail Banking Manager.
Kathy Leombruno began her banking career with Citizens in 1997, hired as Marketing Officer. In 2000, she was named Assistant Vice President/Marketing and in 2003 was promoted to Vice President. As Senior Vice President she administrates the bank’s marketing department, outside business development team, and merchant/card services program.
A 1978 graduate of Elkins High School, Leombruno earned a B.S. degree in Public Relations from WVU School of Journalism. She has completed Floyd Wickman’s Master Real Estate program and has earned a Radio Masters Marketing designation. In 2005, she graduated from the WV School of Banking’s two-year program and is a member of the American Bankers Association Marketing Network.
Leombruno is president of the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce and the Riverview Homeowners Association Board. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Mountain State Forest Festival and Randolph County United Way. A member of the JRES and Midland Elementary School Local School Improvement Councils, she also served on the WVU School of Journalism Alumni Board of Directors.
The new Senior Vice President and her husband, Jim Leombruno, reside in Elkins and have two daughters, Nicole and Cortney. She attends St. Brendan’s Catholic Church.
John Spencer began employment at Citizens in 2005 as Business Development Officer for South Branch Valley. In his current role as Vice President/Commercial Loan Officer, Spencer will develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of commercial loans, and will serve as oversight for special loan projects.
Spencer is a 1966 graduate of Tygart Valley High School and attended Davis & Elkins College and Fairmont State College. He has attended Graduate National Compliance School in Norman, OK and Mellon Bank Commercial Lending School. He received a community bank compliance certification in Kansas City, MO.
He is a member of the Petersburg Kiwanis Club and past member of the Tygart Valley Lions Club. Spencer is past president of the Pendleton County Habitat for Humanity and Randolph County Sheltered Workshop Board of Directors.
A resident of Franklin, the new vice president is married to Cynthia Spencer. They have one daughter and son-in-law, Adrienne and Burt Sherrill, and three grandchildren: Kalin, Eli and Abigail. He is a member of the Beverly Presbyterian Church.
Nathaniel Bonnell joined CNB’s team in 2000 as a part-time teller and transitioned to the position of auditing assistant while attending college. He was hired full-time in 2003 as the bank’s Special Projects Manager and in 2005 was promoted to Financial Reporting Manager. As Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for managing, supervising, and directing the bank’s financial plans as well as developing and coordinating the bank’s financial and management reporting, investment securities, asset/liability management, risk management and capital planning programs.
The new vice president graduated from Elkins High School in 1999. Valedictorian of Davis & Elkins College’s Class of 2003, Bonnell graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Accounting & Management. In 2003, he earned the designation as Certified Public Accountant, passing the exam with the highest score in the state of WV. He received a Master of Business Administration from West Virginia University in May 2007. He is a member of the AICPA and WVSCPA.
A resident of Kerens, he is engaged to be married to Christina Fischl this fall.
Carla Hess is a 1982 graduate of North Marion High School and earned an associate degree in Business Administration and B.S. in Finance at Fairmont State College. Recently promoted to officer status as Citizens’ Credit Analyst, she works closely with loan officers to evaluate and examine corporate and consumers’ financial histories to determine credit worthiness.
Hess is a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Farmington and attends St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Elkins.
Debbie Ritter has been employed at Citizens National Bank for 23 years having previously served as teller, proof operator, loan clerk, and loan officer. As the Parsons office’s new assistant branch manager, she will assist in overall operations and sales while working as a personal banker servicing loans and deposits.
She graduated from the WV School of Banking two-year program in 2003 and has attended numerous bank seminars and lending courses.
Active in the Tucker County community, Ritter has served a five-year stint as treasurer of the TVEMS and is a past member of the TVEMS Local School Improvement Council. She annually participates in Warm the Children and the Tucker County Relay for Life.
Ritter currently resides in the Blackman Flats Community of Hambleton with her husband, Mike, and their daughter, Kristin. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Parsons.
Pamela Morgan has been employed at CNB since 2004, where she has held positions as a Teller, Customer Service Representative, Loan Officer Trainee and Assistant Branch Manager Trainee. As Snowshoe office’s Assistant Branch manager she will assist in overall operations and sales while working as a personal banker servicing loans and deposits.
Morgan is a 1979 graduate of Tygarts Valley High School. She has completed consumer and residential real estate lending courses.
A resident of Snowshoe, the new Assistant Branch Manager is married to JD Morgan and has two children, Ross and Seth.
William “Bill” Phillips joined the staff of Citizens National Bank in 1999 as a Teller. He has since served as Loan Collector, Loan Recovery Manager, and Real Estate Loan Officer/Security Officer. In his new role as Loan Operations Manager, he will be responsible for managing the loan documentation, process, and service staff of real estate, commercial and participation loans.
Phillips graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1994 and received a BA in Marketing/Management from Davis & Elkins College. He is certified as an AIB Instructor.
CNB’s new Loan Operations Manager resides in Beverly with his wife, Julie Phillips, and their son, Logan. He is a member of Landmark Baptist Church.
Patricia “Pat” Davis has been employed at Citizens National Bank for fifteen years, having served as a teller, switchboard operator, CIF Clerk/ Financial Sales & Services, Administrative Assistant/Operations and Office Service Manager. As CNB’s new Office Services and Facilities Manager, she will oversee the bank’s purchasing and assist in the property and real estate asset management, consisting of commercial office buildings, with both retail and office space, and branch bank facilities.
A resident of Philippi, Davis graduated from Alleghany County High School in Covington, Virginia and completed two years of accounting and bookkeeping at Alleghany Vocational Center. She has attended numerous banking seminars since being employed at CNB, and graduated from the WV School of Banking’s two-year program in 2006.
Sherrie Holler was hired in October 2006 as Branch Coordinator for Citizens’ branch offices. With a title change to Retail Banking Manager, she is responsible for managing the retail delivery function of the bank. She also serves as the bank’s Relay for Life team coordinator.
A graduate of Tygarts Valley High school, Holler was certified in banking at the University of North Carolina. She and her husband, Richard, have five children: Amanda, Jessica and Katelyn Chenoweth, and Zachary and Sarah Holler.
